Since our launch the NACCTT has embarked on our “How Much Do You Know?” Awareness Campaign. Our campaign seeks to not only raise awareness about Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis in Trinidad and Tobago but also to gauge public knowledge on these illnesses and to devise the best ways to reach and educate them through.
It is our hope that this Awareness Campaign can sensitize relatives, co-workers, friends and the public about these debilitating, life changing diseases, that patients who are suffering in silence and ashamed to come forward because of the nature of their illness can know that they are not alone in this battle. We hope this campaign can reach any and all persons who are experiencing IBD like symptoms and equip them with the courage and knowledge to get diagnosed. We also wish to mobilize resources through this campaign to assist those living with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis in T&T.
We do this through:
Awareness Booth and Literature
Distribution of NACCTT Awareness Literature on Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis at local public and private health outreach programmes. This is done through our “How Much Do You Know?” awareness booth.
If you would like the NACCTT to participate in a health fair or health out reach programme that you are hosting please feel free to contact us.

As part of our campaign we are also conducting a “How Much Do You Know?” Awareness Survey across Trinidad and Tobago. With over one hundred participants thus far, as the name suggests this survey helps us by providing us with data on public knowledge of these illnesses. We can then utilize our limited resources and target the population of T&T through very specific mediums to raise awareness about our cause. To participate in our survey please click on the link below.
The NACCTT also conducts Awareness Lectures at corporate, educational and other institutions/ events. The lecture is usually conducted by a member of our Team of Medics (a qualified medical professional) but their presence is based strictly on their schedule. It is not always possible to have a member of our Team of Medics in attendance. If this is the case a representative from the NACCTT’s Executive Committee will attend , give a basic lecture and distribute awareness literature.
If you would like the NACCTT to give an Awareness Lecture at a programme you are hosting or at your institution please feel free to contact us.
Our “How Much Do You Know?” Awareness Campaign also includes the sale of Awareness Merchandise to help spread the word on Crohn’s and Colitis. Our merchandise includes NACCTT custom logo items and purple awareness merchandise.
If you would like to purchase any of our Awareness Merchandise please contact us.
